supongo que el hombre siempre ha teorizado sobre cómo será el futuro, quizá por la necesidad de dar certeza a lo incierto.

la gente de elon university y pew research center han hecho un interesante estudio de campo (basado en encuestas) mirando al pasado y al presente con el objetivo de predecir el futuro de internet (y de algunas otras cosas). lo han llamado imaging the internet.

especialmente interesante es su línea del tiempo (pdf):

año 2050: “[...] humans will be able to download information, images, memories, feelings and more to their brains by the year 2050. Also, by this time everything already in your brain can be downloaded to a computer and saved. This will allow digital immortality, because a person’s brain activity can be saved forever and also downloaded and uploaded forever”.

…pues eso.
